We are pleased to bring you a brand new interview with Christopher Benjamin, an actor who has appeared in three classic Doctor Who adventures (Inferno, The Talons of Weng-Chiang and The Unicorn and the Wasp) as well as dozens of Big Finish roles, most notably as Henry Gordon Jago in the spinoff series Jago & Litefoot.
Sontar, HA! Our guest this time is Dan Starkey, a recognizable face and voice in both TV and audio Doctor Who. He is best known for playing various Sontarans over the the last 15 years, but he has also acted in many Big Finish audio plays in other roles and has read many novels for release as BBC Audiobooks. He has also written some of our favourite Doctor Who plays for Big Finish.
We hope you enjoy our chat with Dan, going right back to his early days of Doctor Who fandom, we explore how he came to be an actor, and talk about what the future may bring.
*Apologies for some of the varying audio quality throughout this episode.
This time our guest host is good friend Richard Smith from the Something Who podcast as we discuss this month's random picks, Doctor Who - The Game by Darrin Henry and Doctor Who: The Companion Chronicles - The Anachronauts by Simon Guerrier.
And to talk about his work we are joined by the man himself, Simon Guerrier.
Rabbit hole topics and recommendations also abound.
It is our pleasure to welcome to the show this week, Michael Stevens, the man behind the various Doctor Who ranges from BBC Audio. From Target Novelisations to Originals to Beyond the Doctor, Michael has been there for them all.
Not only does Michael give us an in-depth history of the various ranges over the last two decades, he also give us some hints of what is to come for the rest of the 60th Anniversary year.
In celebration of the life of National Theatre and Blake's 7 actor Stephen Greif, we share previously unreleased material from our 2021 interview with him.
